...My current college art project is transformation and i'm looking at transforming the senses into visual works of art. I started with music, looking at Kandinski's abstract representatons of sound due to the condition Synaesthesia, with causes the senses to be muddled. He 'saw' sounds as colours and forms, suposedly. So now i'm looking at how taste can be portrayed visually and my subjects are lemons. I'm working towards combining the visual qualities of lemons with form, tone and colour with abstract responses to their taste with mark making, form and colour. Confused? So am i.
These are a collection of stuff from my sketchbook i put together in photoshop. I have some large oil paitings and several other studies at college which are better than these scribbles, but until then, this is all i can show. The random scribbles are the initial responses to the taste. XD *pulls sour faces* It's a shame i havn't got any of the colour responses here, where th lemons take on more sickly green and blinding yellow colouration. There is a mixture of pencil, charcole, oil pastel, watercolour and colour pencil here. But anyway, i'll upload some other stuff at some point.
Whoa, excellent still-life! The colours and shading make those segments look so realistic! They look so juicy, hehe just looking at this is making my mouth water...even though I don't even like lemons!

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
